Meet Dr. Natalie Blasingame

Dr. Natalie Blasingame is a mother, educator, community volunteer, and CFISD school board trustee with a calling to ensure that all of our Cy-Fair schools are factories of hope. Natalie fights to ensure that our children, all children, have a hope and a future by advocating for parent voice, student choice, judeo-Christian values, and religious freedom in our schools .

As an immigrant from South Africa to the United States of America at 9-years-of-age, Natalie knows first hand that we live a land of opportunity like no other- she understands that God has blessed this nation to be a blessing.

Having taken advantage of our public school system and attending state universities for her Bachelor’s, Masters, and Doctoral degrees, Dr. Blasingame continues to serve in the Houston community where she began her career as a bilingual 3rd grade teacher 33 years ago. Driven by a passion for students and families, Natalie knows first-hand what it takes to transform lives through excellent schooling from her successful efforts as an teacher, Assistant Principal, Principal, School Support Officer, and Assistant Superintendent in area school districts.

Upon retirement, Natalie ran for CFISD school board to expand her impact on excellence and equality of outcomes in the 3rd largest district in Texas, which is increasingly diverse and urban. Natalie is addressing the achievement gap, working against woke and anti-Biblical indoctrination, championing safety first, and driving programs that ensure all children are college, career, and life ready upon graduation so that they can be successful and have a family of their own one day.

Natalie hopes she is setting an example for her daughter of fierce dedication to excellence for all, commitment to community service, and bold, consistent faith-driven decision-making.
